Patrol

The Riverside Township Police Patrol Division is the backbone and most visible organizational unit within the Department, and provides the bulk of policing services to the public. The Patrol Division provides a staff of highly trained and qualified officers that work 24 hours a day, 7 days per week, and 365 days per year.

The primary mission of the Patrol Division is emergency response, crime prevention, preliminary investigations, proactive patrol and traffic enforcement. The Patrol Division is also the primary response unit to every emergency call within the township, from fire alarms, fires, medical calls, power outages, etc. Riverside Patrol Officers also handle many additional duties such as Humane Law Enforcement (protection of animals), Megan’s Law offender registrations, and firearms background checks.

The Patrol Division is comprised of 10 Patrol Officers managed by 2 Patrol Sergeants.
