Patrol

The Riverside Township Police Department’s Patrol Division is the backbone of our agency and the most visible presence in the community. Our highly trained and professional officers provide front-line police services 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year.

The Patrol Division’s core mission includes emergency response, crime prevention, preliminary investigations, proactive neighborhood patrols, and traffic enforcement. Patrol Officers are the primary responders to all emergencies within Riverside Township, including fire alarms, fires, medical emergencies, power outages, and other urgent calls for service.

In addition to traditional policing, Riverside Patrol Officers also perform several specialized functions, including Humane Law Enforcement (animal protection), Megan’s Law offender registrations, and firearms background investigations.

The Patrol Division is staffed by ten Patrol Officers, supervised by two Patrol Sergeants who provide guidance, oversight, and support to ensure consistent, professional service to our community.
